 DUCHESS JEWELLERY CASKET

This American Ostrich Egg is intricately carved into a gorgeous casket, suitable for keeping precious jewellery. The lid design is drawn with free hand and carved around a gorgeous silk-print, which is placed on top of the casket. Pink crystal beads are glued all around the design. The inside of the casket is lined with pink heavy brocade. A golden chain is added as a stopper. A fancy tassel is attached to facilitate the opening of the casket.

The egg is painted with blue acrylic paint. The top of the egg is hinged and cut to convert this Ostrich Egg into a Jewel Box.  The inside of the egg is lined with cream coloured silk cloth and fanciful lace. The egg is decorated outside with golden cord and crystals. The top lid is decorated with filigree and a fanciful crystal top supplements the beauty of this jewel box. Ostrich egg shell is cut on both the sides in the shape of hearts. Hinges are camouflaged on the sides of the hearts to open doors. The doors have two pearl handles to facilitate the opening. The egg shell is carved all around with free hand design and the carved hearts are lined with golden cord. The inside of the egg is decorated with red velvet carpet which holds an elegant bride and groom. Several coats of varnish are applied to the egg to give a bright sheen. The egg is mounted on a golden coach, which is decorated by rhinestones on the central part of the wheel. The final product is a grand wedding coach.
