HARI NARAYAN APTE

Hari Narayan Apte (1864-1919) is the pioneer of Marathi novel. His important novels include Madhali Sthiti, Ushankala, Mi and Pan Lakshat Kon Gheto.  Founder-editor of the periodical Karamnuk, Apte produced enormous volumes of literature including translations, adaptations, short-stories, essays, biographical sketches, poems and novels.
