O.V.Vijayan 

O. V. Vijayan (b. 1931) is the pioneer of modern fiction in Malayalam, who has to his credit five novels, including Khasakkinte Itihasam (1969), Dharmapuranam (1985) and Pravachakante Vazhi (1993), besides many collections of short stories. The Malayalam literature experienced a perceptible change after the appearance of the novel Khasakkinte Itihasam.
