Tapan Sinha 

A veteran of 1950’s became unceasingly mature in the 1970’s and 1980’s. It was his Apan Jan (1968) that started a genre projecting the anti social "outsider" hero. After the dubious politics of Sagina Mahato (1970), Sinha came back to this theme with films like Raja (1975).
